The exciting opportunity has arisen for an established IT recruiter to join a worldwide mid to top level recruitment consultancy as a Senior Consultant to set up the IT division for the South and South West with instant access to existing accounts. You will be a key player in the development of the IT division, as all IT has previously been managed from the London office. You will have access to large clients (including major banks, insurers and telecoms companies) who have regional offices throughout your patch who are tied into PSLs which will provide you with immediate vacancies and contacts. In addition to this, you will have access to clients from the other divisions of the business which will enable you to cross sell IT recruitment solutions. In terms of career scope, at this level, you will have the option to work towards a team leadership role with the view of building the headcount to 6 for this year, if you want to focus on a pure billing role with no management, the scope is available for a Principal Consultant working up to Associates Sales Director. In terms of the existing business, you can expect to place IT contractors on day rates of £450 - £650 a day and work permanent vacancies of £45k - £55k as an average. You will have a targeted car allowance based on achieving £75k over two quarters which will give you an additional £4,500 a year. Suitable candidates will currently be working in IT recruitment (either contract or perm) and looking to move into a business where there is little focus on KPIs and call stats and more focus on your input and bottom line figures. As a person you must be able to work under your own initiative and if coming from a micro managed environment, thrive in an autonomous environment. Although you will have access to existing business, you must be hungry to build this division through sales, relationship building and networking and have a solid background of managing the full recruitment lifecycle in a professional, solutions focused manner. Depending on your current experience, there are opportunities to run a perm, contract or dual desk.
